Nha Huynh Farm participated in the trade connection conference between businesses from Vietnam and Japan, which was held in Tokyo, Japan on June 21. The conference was part of a series of economic exchange and cooperation activities between Vietnam and Japan on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.
The trade connection conference between Vietnam and Japan, held in Tokyo on June 21, was an opportunity for Nha Huynh Farm to meet, exchange and cooperate with businesses in the agriculture and food sector in Japan. This is also one of the important economic exchange and cooperation activities on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
In addition to participating in the trade connection conference, Nha Huynh Farm also participated in other activities in the series of economic exchange and cooperation events such as seminars, product exhibitions, online exchanges, etc. to seek opportunities to develop and expand the market for its agricultural and food products.
According to TTXVN correspondent in Japan, the conference was jointly organized by the Vietnam Trade Office, the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan, the Ho Chi Minh City Center for Trade and Investment Promotion, the Hanoi Center for Trade and Investment Promotion, and the ASEAN-Japan Center with the participation of representatives from more than 100 Vietnamese and Japanese businesses.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the conference, Mr. Ta Duc Minh, Commercial Counsellor of the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan, emphasized that in recent years, Vietnam and Japan have been important trading partners of each other. The two countries have a complementary import-export structure. Japan has a demand for importing agricultural, forestry, fishery products, processed foods, consumer goods, and textiles, which are all strengths of Vietnam. In addition, the two countries are members of many free trade agreements, creating more opportunities for further trade cooperation, especially in increasing exports and deeper involvement in the supply chain of the region and the world.
Mr. Nakamura Makoto, an economic expert from the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), under the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry (METI) of Japan, said that all exported products from Vietnam to the Japanese market must meet strict regulations on raw materials and production processes. This requires close cooperation between businesses of the two countries to bring Vietnamese goods closer to Japanese consumers.
In the framework of the conference, Vietnamese businesses brought many sample products such as garments, processed foods, fruits, consumer goods, etc. for Japanese businesses to directly experience, thereby seeking opportunities for business cooperation. These products meet high standards of quality, food safety, and environmental friendliness. In addition, Eco Straws Joint Stock Company introduced rice straws made from 100% natural materials and is expected to be welcomed by many Japanese consumers.
In recent years, along with the development of good political relations, high reliability, trade and investment relations between the two countries have continued to grow strongly. Currently, Japan is Vietnam’s leading important economic partner and the largest ODA capital sponsor, the 2nd labor cooperation partner, the 3rd investor, the 3rd tourism partner, and also the 4th largest trading partner of Vietnam. More and more Vietnamese goods are present in the Japanese market and are favored by Japanese people.
To promote the export of strong items, Vietnamese businesses have researched and met the needs of Japanese consumers such as processed foods, time-saving and hygienic products. For handicraft products, businesses will focus on providing “finished products” so that Japanese people can use them to design products according to their preferences. The conference is an opportunity for businesses of both countries to seek and promote business cooperation opportunities, especially to bring more strong and leading products of Vietnam to penetrate the Japanese market, based on taking advantage of the Vietnam-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement (VJEPA).
